Complete Dryer Exhaust Re-route in Burlingame, CA

This project called for a complete reroute of the dryer exhaust system. When I arrived on-site for a simple vent cleaning I discovered the existing exhaust system to be fully clogged and in overall poor shape. The homeowner wanted to update the system for better performance and safety. The existing system was installed by the previous owner of the home and had many flaws such as the length of semi-rigid duct. There was approximately 25 feet of this stuff which is a big No No, this duct work was also poorly secured and was sagging and cracked in several spots. Semi-rigid duct work leads to a lot of problems over time which the current homeowner was encountering, these issues include sagging and cracked ducts, poor air flow and higher that normal back pressure in the system. This ultimately leads to very poor dryer efficiency and causes multiple safety issues like poor air quality and a potential fire. All that being said I re-routed the exhaust system using 26 gauge hard pipe with as few turns as possible in the line. I'm happy with how this system turned out the home owner now has a safe and efficient exhaust system.
